The police in St James have now charged a British lady accused of trying to smuggle cocaine valued at over $29 million in her baggage on the Sangster Worldwide Airport.
Madina Sanessie, a chef of Birmingham, England, has been charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine, trying to export cocaine, and conspiracy to export cocaine.
Sanessie is scheduled to look earlier than the St James Parish Courtroom on Monday, Could 22.
The police report that she checked in on the airport on Friday, Could 12 to board a flight destined for England.
Throughout safety procedures, a number of anomalies had been reportedly detected and the lady tried to flee the airport, in line with the police.
She was accosted and searched.
The police say in the course of the search the drug was discovered on her.
She was subsequently taken into custody.
The police say illicit drug weighs 5 kilogrammes.
She was charged following a question-and-answer session within the presence of her lawyer.
