FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – As vacationers packed South Florida airports for what AAA is asking the busiest vacation season but, a few of their flights have been delayed.
On Christmas Eve, runways and taxiways have been full of planes carrying anxious flyers to and from their locations.
Kate Langford, who headed out along with her household to Sacramento, California on a night flight out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Worldwide Airport, hoped the whole lot went easily.
“I simply hope my dad doesn’t get too careworn,” Langford stated. “If it doesn’t (go proper), that might be fascinating.”
There have been only a few cancellations reported nationwide, however there have been loads of delays. At one level, 50 flights have been delayed out of Miami Worldwide Airport and 100 have been delayed at FLL.
Airport roads have been additionally full of family members choosing up or dropping off their relations.
“Visitors was fairly heavy this morning, round 10, but it surely appears to be transferring swiftly now,” FLL airport employee Quinton Thompkins stated.
The Coles, who landed from Washington, D.C., stated issues went easily for them as they arrived in South Florida to spend time with their son.
“It’s Christmas Eve, hopefully everyone is the place they must be,” Joyce Cole stated.
Flyers typically had an upbeat temper regardless of the delays.
