A passenger and 5 flight attendants have been injured Saturday after an American Airways flight made a tough touchdown this afternoon at Kahului Airport.

The Hawaii Division of Transportation confirmed that the American Airways flight made a tough touchdown.

Maui Police Division spokeswoman Alana Pico stated medics responded to a dispatch name at 2:21 p.m. They transported six people in secure situation to a hospital.

American stated one buyer and 5 flight attendants have been transported to and launched from the hospital.

“American Airways flight 271 with service from Los Angeles to Maui skilled a difficulty upon touchdown in OGG (Kahului Airport),” American stated in an electronic mail response to an inquiry by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

“The plane taxied to the gate beneath its personal energy and prospects deplaned usually.

“The plane was taken out of service for inspection by our upkeep workforce,” the airways stated. “The security of our prospects is our prime precedence.”

In accordance with Flight Standing Tracker, the flight was delayed by an hour and 19 minutes, departing Los Angeles Worldwide Airport at 10:18 a.m., after being scheduled to depart at 8:50 a.m.
