Sonoma County Tourism held its 2024 Stars of the Industry awards celebration May 22, lauding numerous professionals and businesses for their achievements in the region’s tourism and hospitality industry. The fourth-annual gathering was held at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Sonoma Wine Country in Rohnert Park.

“The event is designed to celebrate businesses that contribute to the well-being of our community and make Sonoma County a vibrant vacation destination, as well as the unsung hospitality workforce that goes above and beyond in service to our visitors,” the tourism agency stated in a release.

The evening’s host was Leslie Sbrocco, an author, speaker and host of KQED’s Check, Please!

As it does each year, Sonoma County Tourism solicited the local hospitality industry to submit nominations, then had a committee pare them down to three finalists in each category. After that, industry professionals submitted their votes online to determine the winners.

Jennifer Buffo, CEO of Pure Luxury Transportation, received the Legacy Award for her “tenured legacy and leadership serving the hospitality industry in Sonoma County.”

The Stars of the Industry awards are held during National Travel and Tourism Week, which took place this year from May 19-25.
