A visiting exhibit on the Nationwide Underground Railroad Freedom Middle explores the historical past and impression of an important doc for Black folks within the Jim Crow period. The Negro Motorist Inexperienced Ebook exhibit appears in any respect the methods the Inexperienced Ebook helped folks navigate segregated America from the mid-Thirties to the mid-Sixties.

The Inexperienced Ebook, Gaba says, “gave Black kids the prospect to have childhood summer time holidays on the seaside, and for civil rights activists, trusted locations to arrange.”
Gaba says the exhibit is essential as a result of it helps guests perceive the significance of group care as, she says, civil rights are beneath menace.
