A Kerala resident was arrested by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Friday for allegedly threatening to explode the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Worldwide Airport right here if he was not paid “a million US {dollars} in Bitcoin”, an official stated.

The ATS began a probe after the Mumbai Worldwide Airport Restricted, which operates the airport, acquired a threatening e-mail in its suggestions inbox at 11.06 am on Thursday, the police official stated.

“It is a ultimate warning to your airport. We’ll blast Terminal 2 in 48 hours except a million US {dollars} in Bitcoin is transferred to the deal with. One other alert will probably be after 24 Hrs,” the e-mail learn.
